About
The Group
We are an European group of private companies
established since year 2000 to manufacture, deploy and maintain environmental data gathering networks on land, ocean surface and ocean bottom.
Engineering
We also provide engineering, projects, systems, ideas, information, software and solutions for global environmental problems and power management.
Environment control
Our Data Buoys, Tide stations, sea floor laboratories, meteorologic and hydrologic stations implement real time data networks on a geographical scale
Global Partner
As global technological partner we assist large companies and Governments to develop advanced environment-oriented solutions.
Internet of things and blockchain are pervasive new technologies that will change the world soon. We are expanding our activities, designing new products and services merging our proven skill with those amazing technologies.

We designed effective, high reliability Tsunami Warning System starting registered tsunami after the Stromboli Volcano eruption in December 2002. The system has been based on multisensor (both seismic wide spectrum, and pressure gauges) deep ocean platforms.
At present Envirtech manufacture two classes of devices: the Vulcan Class and the Poseidon Class (learn more)

Italian Data
Buoy Network
Envirtech designed the Italian Data Buoy Network, formerly known as “Rete Ondametrica Nazionale“.
The network has been moored off the italian coast on a 100 meters depth sea bottom..
Vulcan Class are built around a broadband Ocean Bottom Seismometer. To assure the best coupling between sea bottom and the seismometer has been developed a special release mechanism. All the units are hosted in Titanium vessels. A special CPU, based on Arm technology, has been developed to reduce power consumption to assure at least 2 years authonomy. High rate sea bottom collected data are transmitted to the surface buoy using an inductive modem coupled to the mooring line. MORE …
It is fully operational the Envirtech radar tide station installed next the Malamocco gate to the Venice laguna. The station collects 12 samples/min of tide level with no stilling well. Gathered data can be used to evaluate any kind of low frequency sea motion inside the laguna and are published on internet each hour. Two meteorological stations complete the settlement.
Envirtech
POSEIDON CLASS devicesare ocean bottom devices able to collect very high accuracy and stable pressure data. At present the maximum operative depth is 6,000 meters. Collected data are transmitted in real time to a surface “SPAR” buoy via spread spectrum acoustic modem. The surface buoy relay received data to a control center via satellite.

About us
VULCAN CLASS devices are sea bottom laboratories able to collect many parameters and can be tailored on request adding any kind of transducers.
Please see video clipsabout the buoys deployments. The new Data Buoy Network, owned by ISPRA, the Institute for Environmental Protection and Research consists of 15 oceanographic buoys deployed along italian shores. The buoys collect directional sea motion data, sea surface temperature, wind speed and direction, air pressure and humidity. Gathered data will be available on WMO GTS, via WEB and on the Italian teletext service (RAI-1) . More …
Envirtech SPAR buoy used to relay sea bottom data via satellite to a control center
SPAR BUOYS – Are tall, thin buoys that float upright in the water and are characterized by a small water plane area and a large mass. Because they tend to be stable ocean platforms, spar buoys are popular for making oceanographic measurements. In Envirtech ocean data acquisition systems, SPAR BUOYS are used to collect data from seabottom and to relay them using satellites, like Inmarsat, GOES, Iridium and so on.
SOA crew successfully deployed Envirtech “Poseidon Class” tsunameter. To learn more please contact info@envirtech.org or read more info about Poseidon Class Tsunameters.
IN BRIEF:
Max operational depth 6,000 meters, 1 mm H2O accuracy, 2 years power pack, spread spectrum acoustic communications, independent acoustic release, titanium vessels and AISI 316 stainless steel frame, up to 4 Gb Data Logger.
South China Sea TWS
Thailand: Tsunami Warning System
Two tsunami-buoysand two Poseidon Class tsunameters completed the marine segment of the Thai Tsunami Warning System. The deployed systems are working properly and releasing data on Web and the new BUFR/CREX TM306027 format for GTS worldwide dissemination.

October 25, 2010 Sumatra Earthquake event, collected on the seabed by Envirtech BPR, and received in real time at Control Center in Guangzhou. P-Waves travelled at about 5 Km/sec and reached the BPR position, 2600 Km far, within few minutes. Cause the position of the Sumatra Island respect the BPR, fortunately, no tsunami wave propagated in the South China Sea. (C) Envirtech S.p.A. – www.envirtech.com

MKI-3 Data Buoys
Envirtech MKI-3 ODAS Buoy
Envirtech MKI-3 ODAS Buoy
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has succesfully completed the Factory Acceptance Test and training for a MKIV- 3Metre buoy – The buoy hosts a complete marine meteo station an Envirtech directional sea wave payload, an ADCP and a multiparameter probe (T,C, Redox, pH, DO and turbidity).

TURKEY: New data buoy network
The fifth MKI-3 buoy has been deployed to complete the new Turkish Data Buoy Network.
Each buoy hosts a complete and accurate meteo station with an Envirtech directional wave payload, a Nortek Aquadopp ADCP and a multiparameter probe Seabird 16plus-V2. MKI-3 is powered by four solar panels and a 640 Ah Gel battery pack –

ENVIRTECH MKIV: 3 Metre Buoy
The MKIV compliants the raising requirements for rugged sea surface platforms able to host biochemical/physical payloads.
It embeds an ADCP in reverse position (looking from surface to the sea bottom), a multiparameter probe, a compact meteorological station including a piezo rain gauge and a pyranometer, a directional sea waves measurment payload and a visibilimeter. Donwload Datasheet.
All data provided by sensors are stored using a compact flash NVRAM with capacity up to 32 Gb. The MKIV CPU can acquire data from up to 20 async interfaces. All the electronic units are protected inside a waterproof case. It is available a wide choice of telemetry systems, like UHF/VHF, Inmarsat, Orbcomm, Iridium GSM, etc.- The turret and the floats can be disassembled to facilitate the transport of the buoy: the turret can be split into two parts and the float can be divided into three segments.
Tide Station
ENVIRTECH WAVE SENSOR
It is a state of the art IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) . It measures the buoy hull dynamic parameters using a combination of 3D accelerometers, gyroscopes, and magnetometers. A Digital Signal Processor (DSP) provides real-time 3D orientation, acceleration, rate of turn and earthmagnetic field data. Once calculated the attitude and heading data, a microprocessor unit processes them to obtain a geographically oriented displacement file (HNE file). Learn more.
